The significance of baptism
Like a wedding ceremony or changing our Facebook status to “in a relationship,” baptism signals to the world that someone is with Jesus. While baptism doesn’t save a person; it’s a picture and celebration of salvation. However, we don’t want to water it down (pun intended). This is a significant step of obedience (Acts 2:38).
A time of celebration!
Baptism weekends are a time of celebration! We are excited to cheer you on, but we also know that many people come alongside you in your faith journey, and we want them to be a part of your big day. So, we encourage you to invite family and friends to the party.

Whether you’ve been to Portrait a few times or you are just ready to learn more, RSVP for the next New Here Party! It’s a low-key way to meet new people just like you, catch the vision of Portrait, and chat with the pastors. It last about 20 minutes and takes place during our normal Sunday morning rhythm.
