What’s your view of God?
The relationship that you have or don’t have with God is directly related to the way you see God. We believe that, like an intricate painting, there is always more to experience when it comes to your relationship with Jesus. Saint or skeptic, consider this your invitation to “Look Again.”
Jesus is the divine portrait of the invisible God.
Colossians 1:15Welcome
from David + Jenna
David: I understand that finding a local church to belong to can be a daunting task. It’s okay to feel a bit scared. I get it, and I’m stoked you are considering Portrait. I want you toknow that you belong just as you are.
Jenna: We are raising two young boys, so we know how important it is to have a church community that can connect with every member of the family. Just know we’re here to help you and your family find your place and grow your relationship(s) with God.
David: With the population growth exploding in our area and everyone needing meaningful relationships, as well as a church experience that is fresh and relevant, we invite you to look again at what you think you already know about God. There is always a new facet of Himself God wants to reveal.
FAQs
What are services like?
Sunday gatherings at Portrait are typically 60 minutes. They’re encouraging, and challenging. Expect to hear a lot about God, who not only loves you, but likes you. Expect unfiltered conversations, Biblical truth, and worship that connects you to the presence of God.
What happens when I visit for the first time?
You’ll be warmly welcomed by our connections team. During your visit, you’ll hear about the Portrait Pop-up. This is your one stop to get questions answered, discover next steps, and grab your free gift before heading home.
What do I wear?
Come as you are. Unless you’re naked, in which case, you should put on some jeans and a t-shirt. And shoes of some kind.
What do you have for my kids?
We have kids’ ministry during both services on Sunday for birth – 6th grade. One unique offering for 5th + 6th graders: during the first service they are invited to be a part of a leadership and discipleship training, and during the second service they will experience an age-appropriate curriculum.
What’s the vibe like?
You’ll find we are more than a friendly church; we’re a church that makes friends. We are Jesus people; not religious people. We have great coffee. We like good conversations, but don’t worry; hugging is optional.
What denomination are you part of?
Portrait is a non-denominational church. We define ourselves as a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church. View our statement of beliefs.
We affiliate with Converge, a national church planting movement, as well as Vision Texas, and we come out of Rock Creek Church in Prosper, Texas.
